- Oharrak: Cyber Ireland is the national cyber security cluster organisation (https://cyberireland.ie/) hosted at Munster Technological University.
We bring together industry, academia, and government to represent the needs of the cyber security sector in Ireland and support the innovation, growth, and competitiveness of the companies that are part of the cluster. We work to make Ireland a global cyber security leader. Cyber Ireland has become a collective voice for the cyber security industry in Ireland with over 170 member organisations. We organise regulnational conference, support workforce development,
R&D project development and internationalization. Cyber Ireland has 5 staff and has had 4 internships from the Global Training Programme who have excelled and had further job opportunities with technology companies in Ireland. Cyber Ireland has an exciting and rewarding work placement opportunity in the area of Business Management and/or Digital Marketing for a selfmotivated and capable candidate. The work placement will be based in Munster Technological University, Cork, Ireland’s second biggest city. The successful candidate will work alongside the Cluster Manager and the Marketing Manager. They will receive training and practical experience in the following areas:
• Managing and developing a cluster organisation to represent the needs of industry;
• Engaging with the fast-paced cyber security industry (MNCs, SMEs and start-ups);
• Implementing a digital marketing strategy;
• Organisation of in-person events and online webinars;
• Updating the Cyber Ireland Website, improving SEO, adding blog posts and updating the course finder
• Creating a monthly newsletter and email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp;
• Manage engagement on the Cyber Ireland social media channels (LinkedIn & Twitter);
• Work with universities to promote courses to industry.
