  • Observaciones: Department of Materials, Laboratory for Multifunctional Materials. - Within the project entitled “Cellulose-based materials for biodegradable current collectors in batteries”, the candidate will firstly work on the isolation of polymers from renewable origin such as cellulose, chitin, chitosan, lignin, or agarose. Then, these polymers will be assembled into coatings, thin films and membranes for their subsequent implementation as electrically conducting current collectors in batteries. The physico-chemical and electrochemical properties will be evaluated. The ultimate aim is to develop renewable and non-toxic energy storage system, making batteries safer, cheaper and environmentally-friendlier.
    Fluent English, both spoken and written (B2 at least). Solely candidates having a Bachelor Degree will be selected. Background on Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Science is required.
    Prior research experience in the field of chemistry/materials science/electrochemical energy storage would be an asset.
